Being Me

So you tell me that my Life is empty and pointless. Just because I refuse to conform to societal norms.

I say “Thanks for your opinion but I am happy being me”.

What I really wanted to say but felt it pointless to be talking to a wall was :

  • I am not ‘normal people’
  • I refuse to live my Life to please others
  • I may be selfish but at least I am not a hypocrite
  • I know what I want and I go for it. All of it.
  • I am rich from love and life. Filthy rich.
  • I sometimes get burnt from speaking my mind but it’s OK. Totally worth it. I learnt good lessons too.
  • I play hard, yes. But that’s because I work hard too.
  • I am truly free. Are you?
  • I sleep very well at night.
  • I am not afraid to die tomorrow.
  • To each her own

So if being different means getting to be true to oneself, then I’m definitely the happy oddball here.

  1. forget the wall, girl.

it’s just envying you your life of movement, while it is stuck to one boring place, wearing one boring design and colour. maybe you should consider getting someone to give it a new coat of paint sometimes. 😉 but then, who gives a damn when you’re too busy running on top of it, next to it or away from it? 😀

enjoy life… the only thing that matters is being happy!

  2. LOL…you hit the nail on the head! We should only focus our time & effort on what truly matters. And having to paint some boring, old wall is *not* my idea of what matters.

  3. oh so very yup! 😀

  4. Here’s a funny story.

The Wall texted me several times today. I was too busy juggling many things to respond to her until very late in the day. When I asked her wussup, her reply was “Nothing lah, I am bored. Just wanna chit-chat. U that bz meh?”

My reply “Oh yeah, I am very bz living an empty & pointless life. Will get back to u when I am less bz, ok? No promises tho…”

    😛
